On April 23rd 2019 an invitation-only gathering took place in the BluBubbles Sound Art Gallery in Highgate, London to celebrate the release of Archipel, a Bubble created by the band Yapa. The event was hosted by Christian Heil, President and founder of L-Acoustics, in the company of the members of Yapa and other distinguished guests.

Yapa are an eclectic quartet composed of three guitarists and percussion bathed in a purposefully curated variety of musical styles from all over the world. The Archipel Bubble explores insular musical influences from Polynesia to Great Britain, featuring very special guests from Canada, France, and Burkima Faso along this global journey.

Guests of the event were treated to a group listening session of two compositions from Yapa, specially mixed in the Blu 23.1 format. As the works played over the Ocean installation of the Sound Art Gallery, listeners perceived remarkable clarity, including effects such as the sound of distant foghorn as a ship splashes through the waves. The ship’s motion was conveyed authentically by the immersive installation, causing heads to turn, following the sound in wonder. VIP attendees were then given the opportunity to tour the L-ISA Immersive Hyperreal Sound mixing studio in small groups or experience additional Bubble works more privately in Island.
